Madelyn grew up in League City, Texas and is a freshman at Texas Tech getting a double major in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering with a mathematics minor. She plans to attend graduate school and go on to work in engineering designing renewable systems for large-scale upstream production. Having always been obsessed with everything STEM, she is incredibly passionate about solutions to environmental problems that are based in the real-world applications and widespread use. She joined Dr. Kristufek's lab to expand her technical experience and learn more about renewable polymers as the basis of engineering for the future.
When she has free time, Madelyn enjoys listening to music, experimenting with baking recipes, reading various classics, and sketching various plants.
