Karmin grew up in Nisland, South Dakota. She completed a B.S. in Chemistry at South Dakota Mines and worked as a laboratory technician prior to beginning graduate school. Under the guidance of Dr. Kristufek, she is working toward her PhD in Organic Chemistry focusing on the development of sustainable materials.
In her free time, Karmin enjoys climbing, crafting, and spending time with her family.
