Itzel "Aless" Campuzano is a senior getting her Bachelor's in biochemistry with a minor in forensic science and anthropology. During their first year at Texas Tech they were introduced to environmental sustainability and tried to get involved with this topic as much as possible. When she found out about the line of research the Kristufek Lab was involved with, she immediately jumped on the opportunity to join. Her main goal in chemistry is to explore as many aspects of it as possible, particularly the potential of different materials to become unexpected things.
In her free time, she enjoys escaping into fantasy worlds whether that is in the form of a book or movie/show.
