Darren Marrs is a United States Navy veteran and a 911 Paramedic in Lubbock, Texas. He is currently on a pre-medical school track, striving to complete a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a double minor focus in chemistry and biology. Darren has a strong passion for ecological sustainment and conservation, especially in the domain of the plastic pandemic currently affecting the globe. This passion is what led him to join Dr. Kristufek’s lab, working on sustainable and recyclable materials. Darren hopes to learn and gain experience in the field of chemistry and to make a difference in improving the world for the current and next generations.
When not focusing on his work and studies, Darren loves to rock climb, snowboard, eat amazing food, read, and workout.
