Cierra is from El Paso, TX and came to TTU to obtain her bachelor's in biology and minor in chemistry & Spanish. She is on the pre-med track, and plans to have a career in orthopedic medicine. She is a Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Scholar and when picking her research group, she decided on the Kristufek group due to fascination in synthetic approaches that could help create better sustainability.
Outside of lab, she is interested in hanging out with family & friends, working out, and watching movies
